Contact us from your dashboard

The Support card on your dashboard has two forms: Send an inquiry for a question, and Share ideas or a bug for ideas and problems. Type your message, press Submit!, and an email confirms that it reached us. Or press our email address on the card to write to us from your own email app

The Support card

Scroll down your dashboard, or press Support in the menu. The card has five rows:

  • Email — support@vauz.sealzi.com. Pressing it opens your email app with a new message to us, and the subject already filled in: Vauz inquiry from and your email address, with [PRIO] on the end if you have Plus or Premium, your own or through your family. Use this one to send a picture, such as a screenshot: the forms take only text
  • Documentation — support.sealzi.com/vauz, these help pages
  • Changelog — changelog.vauz.sealzi.com, what's new in Vauz
  • Support form — Send an inquiry
  • Feedback — Share ideas or a bug

Ask a question

Step 1: Press Send an inquiry

A box titled Contact Form opens

Step 2: Write your question

Describe it in full: what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. You don't need to add your email address or name — your message reaches us with the ones on your account, and our reply goes to your account's email address

Step 3: Press Submit!

The page says "Message sent 📨 Thanks for reaching out" and the box closes. Open it again and it is empty, ready for a new question

Share an idea or report a bug

Press Share ideas or a bug. A box titled Feedback Form opens. Write your idea, or what went wrong, and press Submit!. The page says "Feedback sent 💌 Thank you", and the box is emptied

The email that confirms it

An email goes to your account's address to say the message arrived:

  • A question: Vauz Dashboard Contact Form, or [PRIO] Vauz Dashboard Contact Form if you have Plus or Premium. It's headed Got your message 📨, starts "Hi" and your display name, and says "Someone from the support team will get back to you as soon as they can"
  • An idea or a bug: [FEEDBACK] Vauz Dashboard Feedback Form, headed Thanks for the feedback 💌. It says your feedback landed safely, and a human will read it

The words in square brackets are labels our support team sorts by. [PRIO] marks a message as a priority one, because you have Plus or Premium. [FEEDBACK] means it came through the ideas form

No confirmation email? If the page said your message was sent, it reached us: the page only says so once it has. Look in your spam folder for the confirmation

To check that an email really is from us, see Is this email really from Vauz?

Limits

  • Five messages in fifteen minutes, questions and ideas together. After that the form says "That's a lot of messages at once 🐢 Give it a few minutes, or email support@vauz.sealzi.com". Wait fifteen minutes before you try again — trying again too soon can make the wait longer — or write to us from your own email app
  • 5,000 characters a message, counting letters, spaces and punctuation. Once a message reaches 4,500 characters, a counter appears under the box, such as 4,600 / 5,000. Past the limit it turns red and says by how much, such as 5,003 / 5,000: 3 too many, and Submit! won't send it: the page says "That's longer than 5,000 characters ✂️ Shorten it a little, then send it again". Nothing is ever cut off. Shorten it, or send a very long message by email instead

Messages you might see

When something goes wrong, the box stays open with what you wrote still in it

The contact form on the home page

You don't have to be signed in to reach us. The Vauz home page, vauz.sealzi.com, has a form under Contact Us: your name, your email address, a phone number if you like, and your message. Press Submit! and the form says "Message sent 📨 Thanks for reaching out"

An automatic reply, [Automatic Response] Vauz Contact Form, goes to the address you typed — check it carefully, because that's where our answer goes too. Only three automatic replies go to one address in fifteen minutes: messages after that still reach us, without the reply email

MessageWhat it meansWhat to do
"That's a lot of messages from here 🐢 Try again later, or email support@vauz.sealzi.com"A lot of messages, or requests for sign-up or sign-in emails, have come from your internet connection in a short time — perhaps from other people who share it. The home page form takes up to 5,000 characters too, with the same counter under the box from 4,500 characters. A longer message isn't sent, and nothing is cut off
