Why is my info not being autofilled in a field?
First thing to check is whether the field has autocomplete=“off” attribute. If the field does have this attribute, that means the website owner intentionally added this attribute, and does not want password managers to autofill data into the field, and we respect their choice.
If you think the field should be accessible by Vauz password manager extension, you should get in contact with the website owner, and ask them to remove autocomplete=“off” attribute from the field.
If the field does not have the autocomplete=“off” attribute, and Vauz is struggling to autofill information into that field, but autofills other fields on the same page, please contact us. Share the link to the page, along with the specific field, that is not accepting Vauz autofill, and, preferably, include a screenshot, so we can visually confirm the issue and fix it.
If none of the fields are being autofilled by Vauz extension, please check that:
- Vauz extension is correctly registered with main Vauz app. Please see the troubleshooting steps here.
- Confirm that main Vauz application has the credentials for the specified domain in the vault.
- Please triple-check that domain, you are trying to autofill, is legitimate, as scammers often create fake websites that look like real ones to steal your information.
