Never finished signing up
You started creating your account but no passkey was ever made, so there is an account with your address on it that nobody can sign in to yet. You can finish it yourself from the sign-in page, and you do not need us to do it for you
If the sign-in page has just said "This setup waited too long ⏳ Press Email me a link, and finish from
the email", your address is already in the box: press Email me a link, then carry on from Step 4.
After a family invitation it says "This setup waited too long ⏳ Type your email address in the box
above and press Email me a link to finish": type the address the invitation was sent to, press Email me a link, and carry on from Step 4. Once you are in, press Join the family in the invitation again
An account with no passkey cannot be signed in to by anyone, not even us: the website has no other way in. That is not a gap we have left open. It is the same rule that keeps everybody else out of your account
Steps
Step 1: Go to the sign-in page
Visit https://vauz.sealzi.com/enter/ (opens in a new tab)
Step 2: Press Lost your passkey, or never finished signing up?
It is under the Sign in with a passkey button. A box for your email address appears
Step 3: Enter the address you signed up with and press Email me a link
It has to be that address, because it is the one your account was created with. A box opens saying "Check your email" and "If that address has a Vauz account, a link to get in is on its way. If it doesn't, an email says so 📬 Peek in spam too, just in case"
Step 4: Open the email and press Add a passkey
It is titled Finish setting up your vauz.sealzi.com account. The link works for 3 days, and only once. If you ask again, the newest email's link is the one that works
Step 5: Tick the box, then press Add a passkey
A box titled "Finish setting up" says "Almost there ✨ Add a passkey and your account is ready". The tick box above the button is you agreeing to the Terms of Service (opens in a new tab) and the Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). Both open in a new tab, a second page in your browser that leaves this one open, so you can read them first. What the tick box means explains its small print
Then press Add a passkey and approve your device's prompt. The box says "Passkey ready 🔑 Signing you
in…", and a second prompt signs you in with your new passkey straight away
Afterwards we email you Your vauz.sealzi.com account is ready. That is the confirmation that your passkey was made, and there is nothing to do with it
One button covers both problems. Whether you never finished setting your account up or lost the passkey you had, you press the same button on the same page, and we work out which email to send you
If the link has run out
Ask for another one the same way. An expired link is not a support ticket, and asking again costs you nothing
An old link shows "That link was used, has expired, or a newer one replaced it ⏳ Use the newest email,
or ask for a fresh one" under the button when you press Add a passkey. To leave that box, press
Already have an account? Sign in at the bottom of it, and you are back on the sign-in page at Step 2
If your account got its passkey meanwhile, from another link or another tab, an old link doesn't send
you for a new one. The box closes, the sign-in page says "Your account is set up already 🙌 Sign in
with your passkey", and a box titled "You already have an account 🙌" offers Sign in with a passkey. Press it: your account is finished
There is a limit: up to five links to the same account at once. After that, one more goes out every five minutes, however often anyone asks. Because the page's reply never changes, a request that has been held back looks exactly like one that was sent. So if you have been pressing the button over and over and nothing is arriving, wait five minutes and press it once. Use the newest email: each new link replaces the ones before it
More reasons an email may not come are in The email didn't arrive, or the link doesn't work
Things worth knowing
- The page never confirms whether an address has an account. You get the same reply either way, so if nothing arrives, check your spam folder (where your email puts messages it is unsure about, often called Spam or Junk) and check the address you signed up with
- Signing up again also works. Asking for a signup link with the same address sends you this same setup email, because the account already exists
- Paid plans are chosen after you are in, from the Plan card on your dashboard. Nobody is asked for a card before their account has a passkey. See Choose, change or cancel your plan
- Still stuck? If you can no longer read the address you signed up with, write to support@vauz.sealzi.com from any address and tell us what happened
