Choose, change or cancel your plan
You choose a plan on the pricing page, and everything else about it happens in the Plan card on your dashboard, at https://vauz.sealzi.com/dashboard/ (opens in a new tab). Buttons on your Plan card also open two pages of their own: our secure card page, pay.vauz.sealzi.com, when a card needs saving — see Is pay.vauz.sealzi.com really Vauz? — and your receipts — see Receipts and tax
Words like "renews" and "paid for until" are explained in How paying for Vauz works
If your plan comes through a family, the Plan card says so and names who pays for it, such as
Through your family, paid by Ben. Whoever pays manages that plan. On Plus through a family you
can still press Upgrade Plan and pay for Premium yourself: a family runs on the best plan anyone
in it pays for, so your Premium then covers the family too. If you also pay for a plan of your
own, the card adds you also pay for a plan of your own, manage it here 👇. See

Buying a plan
Step 1: Pick a plan on the pricing page
On Free, the Plan card says Never: Free doesn't run out. Press Upgrade Plan, or go straight to
https://vauz.sealzi.com/pricing (opens in a new tab). Choose Monthly or Yearly at the top (Yearly shows how much it
saves), then Select Plus Plan or Select Premium Plan. If you are not signed in, you are asked to
sign in or create an account first, and the plan you picked is waiting on your dashboard when you get
there
Step 2: Read the box, and tick it
Your dashboard opens a box titled Confirm your plan. It shows the plan and its price, one line saying what happens, such as Plus monthly starts now. C$4.70 plus tax today, renews every month, and a tick box beside a sentence that begins I authorise Sealzi to charge my card…. That sentence says exactly how much is charged, when, and how often, and it is what we keep as your agreement. Sealzi is the company that offers Vauz — see Who is Sealzi?
Tick the box. If you press the button without ticking it, the box says Tick the box above to continue. Prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax, for a Canadian billing address — see Why is tax added, and can I buy from outside Canada?
Step 3: Pay
With a card already saved, the button reads Pay C$4.70 plus tax (with your plan's price). Press it:
the box closes, your dashboard says Your plan is live 🎉, and we email you Your vauz.sealzi.com
plan is active with your receipt
Without a saved card, the button reads Continue to payment, and under it the box says Next, add your
card on our secure checkout page. The payment goes through as soon as it's saved. Press it and our
card page opens, titled Checkout and showing your plan — see
Add or replace your card. Once your card is saved you are brought
back, the box says Card saved 💳 Finishing your payment…, and the payment is made without a second
press
If the box says something else
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Confirming your payment ⏳ This can take a minute, so please don't pay again" | Helcim, the company that processes our card payments, is still working on it | Leave it. The Plan card checks again by itself for a few minutes, then says Payment went through 🎉, or That payment didn't go through, so your plan stayed the same 💳 Try another card |
| "Couldn't tell whether that went through 🤔 Don't pay again: your plan will show what happened in a minute" | The answer never reached your browser, for example because the connection dropped. The payment may or may not have been made | Don't pay again. Wait a minute and look at the Plan card. See Was my card charged? Was it charged twice? |
| "Back from the card page 👋 Tick the box again to carry on" | You pressed your browser's Back button on the card page. Nothing has been charged | Tick the box and press the button again |
| "We couldn't see a card saved just now, so nothing was charged. Tick the box and confirm to go ahead" | Your dashboard opened as if you had just saved a card, but no card was saved from your account recently. A payment is never made that way without you confirming it | Tick the box and confirm, or close the box if you didn't mean to buy |
| "We couldn't find a card on file, so nothing was charged. Try adding it again" | You came back from the card page, but no saved card could be found | Tick the box and press Continue to payment again |
| "Your card is on file. Confirm your plan to finish" | Your card is saved, but more than 30 minutes passed, so we ask again rather than charge on an old agreement | Tick the box and confirm |
| "The price or date changed while you were adding your card, so nothing was charged. Check it and confirm again" | What you agreed to is no longer exactly what would be charged | Read the box again, tick it and confirm |
| "Couldn't check your plan with Helcim just now 📡 Nothing was charged. Try again in a minute" | We check with Helcim before making this change, and Helcim didn't answer | Wait a minute, then confirm again |
| "Your card was declined, so nothing changed 💳 Try another card" | Your bank said no. Nothing was charged | Press Use another card in the same box to pay with a different card. See A payment did not go through |
Any other message is explained in What does this message on my Plan card mean?
Moving up from Plus to Premium
Press Manage Plan, then Change plan, which opens the pricing page, and pick a Premium option. The
same box opens on your dashboard. It takes effect straight away. The part of your current period you
have not used yet is turned into time on Premium, so nothing is charged today: upgrade halfway through
a month of Plus, and the half month left pays for about nine days of Premium. The box tells you the
exact date your first Premium payment will be taken, and the button reads Upgrade now. If there is
no time left to convert, the button says what will be charged today instead
Moving down to Plus, or between monthly and yearly
These wait for the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep what you have until then.
Pick the new plan on the pricing page (Manage Plan, then Change plan) and press Schedule the change. The Plan card then reads Switches to … on …, with a button such as Keep Premium in case
you change your mind before that date — see
Keeping your plan after all
Cancelling
Step 1: Press Manage Plan, then Cancel plan
Step 2: Press Stop renewing
A box asks Stop renewing? and says until when you keep your plan, such as You keep Plus until 16 November 2026 and nothing more is charged. It has two buttons:
Stop renewingcancels. You keep your plan until that date, and nothing more is chargedCancelonly closes the box. Your plan carries on renewing as before
Afterwards the Plan card says Your Plus plan won't renew. You keep it until …, and nothing more is charged, and we email you Your vauz.sealzi.com plan will not renew. If the message on your dashboard ends Helcim is still confirming it, which can take a few minutes, the cancel is done on our side and Helcim has yet to confirm it. There is nothing more for you to do
When the date comes, your plan ends. If that leaves you on Free, or on a smaller plan through a family, we email you Your vauz.sealzi.com plan has ended
Other cancel boxes
- On the day a plan you switched to, kept or resumed takes over, the Plan card reads Renewing as
Plus monthly ⏳ Confirming the payment. Cancelling then asks Cancel Plus? (or Cancel Premium?):
the plan ends straight away and its first payment isn't taken, unless it has already gone through,
in which case you keep the plan to the end of what that payment covers.
Cancel Pluscancels, andCancelkeeps the plan - When a renewal payment didn't go through,
Cancel planis in the warning box instead, and asks Cancel now?.Cancel nowends the plan straight away, andCancelkeeps it. See A payment did not go through
A plan that ends straight away says Plan cancelled. No more payments 👋, and we email you Your vauz.sealzi.com plan was cancelled. If Helcim can't be reached, you see Couldn't check your plan with Helcim just now 📡 Your plan wasn't cancelled. Try again in a minute: nothing has changed, so try again in a minute
When there is no Cancel plan
Cancel plan only appears while something is set to charge you again. You won't see it when:
- Your plan is already set not to renew. The Plan card says You keep Plus until … and offers
Resume renewinginstead - A payment is still being confirmed. The Plan card says Confirming your payment ⏳…. Wait for it to finish
- A renewal payment didn't go through.
Cancel planis in the warning box instead - Your plan has stopped, or is paused, after failed payments.
Cancel planis in the warning box instead. See A payment did not go through for what you can do - Your plan is from before our current billing. The Plan card says Your Plus plan ends on …. It doesn't renew, so there's nothing to cancel
- You are on Free, or only on a family's plan. You aren't paying for anything
Keeping your plan after all
Until the date your plan would end or switch, the Plan card offers Resume renewing (after cancelling)
or Keep Premium (or Keep Plus, after scheduling a change). Either opens the same box as buying,
with a tick box and a button that reads Resume my plan or Keep my plan
You tick the box because cancelling, or scheduling a change, stopped your plan's payments, and keeping it means setting them up again. That is a new agreement to charge your card, so the sentence beside the box says how much and from when, such as I authorise Sealzi to charge my card C$4.70 plus applicable tax on 16 November 2026 and every month until I cancel…, and the box shows Your plan continues. Next payment C$4.70 plus tax on 16 November 2026. Afterwards your dashboard says Your plan carries on 🙌, and we email you Your vauz.sealzi.com plan will continue
If Manage Plan shows a safety pause
A recovery link is the link we email when you can't get in. If you're signed in with a
passkey that was added from a recovery link less than 2 hours
ago, your dashboard shows Safety pause 🛡️ You signed in with a passkey added from a recovery link, so
billing is paused for another 25 minutes. Sign in with the original passkey, or come back then when it
opens, and again when you press Manage Plan, with the minutes that are left. Nothing on the Plan card
that touches billing works until then. It is not a fault. When the time is up, press Manage Plan
again, or refresh the page. See Why does it say “Safety pause”?
Things worth knowing
- No refunds. Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not refund one already made. See Refunds and section 5 of the Terms of Service (opens in a new tab)
- Yearly plans get a reminder by email 14 days before they renew: Your yearly vauz.sealzi.com plan renews on …, or Your yearly vauz.sealzi.com payment is on … for a plan you switched to, kept or resumed
- We email you about every change: Your vauz.sealzi.com plan is active, …was upgraded, …will change, …will not renew, …was cancelled or …will continue. Each payment gets a receipt — see Receipts and tax. To check an email is really ours, see Is this email really from Vauz?
