My card is expiring, or I got a new card
Save your new card on your dashboard with Replace card, before the old one runs out. Vauz does not
keep your card details, so none of our emails remind you when your card is about to expire
See when your card expires
On your dashboard (your account page at vauz.sealzi.com/dashboard), press Manage Plan, then
Payment method. After "Checking with Helcim…" (Helcim is the company that keeps your card for us)
it shows your card, such as Visa ending in 4242, and the month and year it expires, such as
Expires 12/28 for December 2028
Your dashboard does not mark a date that is close or already past, so compare it with the card in your wallet yourself
If there is no Manage Plan button but a line under your plan ends with Past payments or
Saved card, press it. If it was Past payments, then press Saved card
Why we do not remind you
Vauz never stores your card details: not the number, not the last four digits, not the expiry date. Your card lives with Helcim, our payment processor (see What is Helcim?), and your dashboard asks Helcim for it only while you look. So none of our emails warn you that a card is about to run out
On a yearly plan, we do email you up to 14 days before the next payment. Its subject is Your yearly vauz.sealzi.com plan renews on [date], or Your yearly vauz.sealzi.com payment is on [date]. That is a good moment to check your card. Monthly plans get no reminder
Replace your card
Step 1: Press Replace card
It is beside your card, under Manage Plan, then Payment method
Step 2: Enter your new card on the card page
Our card page opens at pay.vauz.sealzi.com. To be sure it is the real one, see Is pay.vauz.sealzi.com really Vauz?. It does not ask for your address again. Type your new card into Helcim's form
Step 3: Check it on your dashboard
The card page says Card saved, with the card, such as "Visa ending in 1234 is saved. Taking you
back to your dashboard…". Your dashboard then says "Card saved 💳", and Payment method shows the
new card and its date
Saving a card is a check that it works, not a payment. The new card takes the old one's place, and your plan is charged to it from then on. Do this even if your bank sent a new card with the same number and only a new date: your dashboard shows the card Helcim has, and saving it again gives Helcim the new date. More on the card page in Add or replace your card
If the old card ran out first
If a renewal is tried on a card that no longer works and the payment does not go through, your Plan
card says "Your Plus renewal payment didn't go through" (or Premium), with an Update card button,
and we email you Your vauz.sealzi.com payment didn’t go through. Press Update card and save your
new card. What happens next is in A payment did not go through
If your plan comes through your family and you do not pay for a plan yourself, no card of yours pays for it. The card that matters is the one of whoever pays for the family's plan. See Family seats and guardians
